SIMS: Up to the challenges

| April 29, 2016 9:00 PM

Please join me in voting for Kathy Sims on May 17. Kathy has been a valued part of our community for more than 40 years. She understands the needs and challenges of our community and has been consistent and steady as a legislator, working hard for limited government and lower taxes; for protecting the lives of the un-born and the rights and security of all of us. Kathy Sims does what she says and that is a rare thing in politics.

I met her opponent, Mr. Amador, at a luncheon where he spoke. He seems to be a nice young man, but I am concerned that he has only lived here a short time. He lacks experience in anything other than education. Education is important, but so is security, health care, the economy, taxation and dozens of other issues that come before the state Legislature. I hope he ramins interested in politics while he continues his education about our community so that, in a few years, he will have the wisdom he needs to represent us.

We have learned that “change” means “different” not “better.” Kathy Sims has been a consistent, thoughtful and wise representative. I have not agreed with every vote she has cast, but overall I am very happy she represents us in Boise. Kathy is also endorsed by Congressman Raul Labrador. Please join me and my family and friends in voting for Kathy Sims on May 17.
