PREP ROUNDUP: Flerchinger shines in the circle in T-Wolves sweep

COEUR d’ALENE — Michaela Flerchinger struck out a combined 21 hitters for the Lake City Timberwolves in a 12-5 and 9-3 sweep of the Moscow Bears on Wednesday at Lake City High.

Reilly Williams and Kim Cook drove in two runs each in the opener for the Timberwolves, who picked up five RBIs from Emma Gray in the second game.

Ally Dement had three hits and Rummor Walker drove in two runs in the second game for Lake City, which improves to 15-4.

Lake City travels to Post Falls on Saturday.

COEUR d’ALENE — The Vikings girls doubles teams of Lauren Carlsen and Sarah Swider and Ashley Tomblin and Rachel Evans swept as Coeur d’Alene beat Moscow.

The Cd’A boys doubles teams also swept Moscow.

Coeur d’Alene plays Friday and Saturday in the Inland Empire tournament in Spokane.
