| April 24, 2016 6:50 AM

A Priest River man suspected of committing multiple burglaries was arrested Saturday in the northern section of Kootenai County,

Dustin J. King, 21, was tracked down by sheriff's deputies after they responded to a report of a prowler in the area of East Chilco and North Ramsey Roads.

A homeowner called in the report around 10:45 p.m. stating there were noises coming from the garage at the residence.

Deputies discovered the garage and the homeowner's vehicles had been entered. Fresh foot prints in the mud led deputies on a K-9 track for the suspect.

King was found walking down North Ramsey Road near West Garwood Road. According to the deputies' report, King’s shoes matched the foot prints in the mud outside the garage. The deputies also reported King was in possession of items previously located in the victim’s cars. A stolen driver’s license from an auto theft in Post Falls was also allegedly found in King’s possession.

King was the suspect in multiple recent burglaries and has previous arrests for burglaries.

He was arrested for four counts of burglary, possession of stolen property, and petit theft.
