Shirley Ann Stoller, 63

Loving wife, mother, sister and friend, Shirley Ann (Bunn) Stoller, 63, passed away in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, on Wednesday, April 13, 2016, after a stroke and a short battle with cancer.

Shirley was born on June 17, 1952, in Spokane, Wash., to Donald and Joyce Bunn. Her parents moved to Fresno, Calif., in 1956 where Shirley grew up and spent her adult life until she retired. She graduated from McLane High School in 1970 and Fresno State University in 1974.

Shirley married the love of her life, William K. Stoller, on Jan. 26, 1974, at St. John’s Cathedral in Fresno. They were joined in life by two sons: Randall William and Scott Kenneth.

Shirley worked for the Internal Revenue Service before starting her family. She later went on to study at San Joaquin College of Law to become a paralegal. She worked for Lozano, Smith, Smith, Woliver and Behrens and later for the Clovis Unified School District.

In 2000, Shirley moved with Bill to Hayden Lake, Idaho, and built their dream retirement home on a forested hill overlooking the scenic Hayden Lake. She was elected as a board member for the North Kootenai Water and Sewer District. She enjoyed collecting antique buttons, quilting, family history and decorative card making.

Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years and is survived by her sons, Randall of Fresno and Scott of Hayden Lake; her sister, Janice Bunn of Reedley, Calif.; and her brothers, Alvin and Randy, both of Fresno.

Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 29, 2016, at St. Helen’s Catholic Church in Fresno, followed by a burial at Clovis Cemetery in Clovis, Calif.
