Sandra Ellen Savage, 71

Sandra Ellen Savage, 71, of Rathdrum, Idaho, passed away April 13, 2016, at Kootenai Health in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. Sandra was born Oct. 12, 1944, in Pasadena, Calif., to Richard and Iva (Dodson) Martin.

Sandra grew up in the Los Angeles area. She first met Phillip Savage and they were married in El Monte, Calif., in 1961, they were later divorced in 1982. She later moved to Lebanon, Ore., where she met Del Larson and they were married in 1995 in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho. They were married six years when Del passed in 2001.

Sandra worked as a cook most of her life lastly working at the Cabin in Post Falls, Idaho. She enjoyed cooking, reading romance novels, dancing, singing (and she was a singer in a band), watching the Seahawks, she was a good artist and loved to draw, but most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Sandra is survived by her son, Randy Savage of Grass Valley, Calif.; daughters Jamie (Dan) Wehlast of Spirit Lake, Idaho, and Shannon (Frank Christensen) Savage of Rathdrum; two brothers, Richard and Michael Martin of Las Vegas; one sister Donna of Las Vegas; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, one sister, four brothers and one son, Danny Savage.

Funeral services are 11 a.m. Tuesday, April 19, 2016, at Bell Tower Funeral Home, 3398 E. Jenalan Ave., Post Falls, Idaho. Burial will be held at Pine Grove Cemetery in Rathdrum.
