COEUR d’ALENE — Reilly Williams hit a 2-run home run, Haley Loffer finished with three RBIs and the Lake City Timberwolves shut out the Lakeland Hawks 13-0 on Monday.

Heather Hawkes and Emmay Gray each had two RBIs for the T-Wolves (6-2), who play at Sandpoint on Thursday.

Michaela Flerchinger had two strikeouts in four innings of work to pick up the win.

“It was nice to get back on the field today after a couple of weeks off,” Lake City coach Jesse Lenz said. “We saw some good things defensively, and things we are continuing to work on. Michaela threw the ball well today, and we finally got the bats going late.”

Katie Kastning tripled for Lakeland (3-5), which faced the Wildcats in Kellogg on Thursday.

RATHDRUM — Dominic Conigliaro had a double and triple and three RBIs, and also threw the first two innings in the Timberwolves’ win over Lakeland.

Conigliaro finished with five strikeouts and Lake City scored six runs in the third inning and added five in the seventh.

“Tonight’s game was all about execution,” Lakeland coach Jason Bradbury said. “Lake City capitalized whenever the needs arose, and we couldn’t.

“Both teams made errors, but we just couldn’t make them pay for theirs. Coach Manzardo and his assistants are doing a great job with their club. I was impressed with the top three guys in my order tonight. Ryan, Andrew, and Jared all hit the ball very well. We just need to keep working hard in practice, focus on doing all the little things right, and stay positive.”
