COEUR d’ALENE — It’s time to get the garden going.

The garden, located at the corner of Foster and 10th streets in Coeur d’Alene, is kicking off its eighth season of growing.

Shared Harvest is a community garden that provides plots on a seasonal basis. Plots are $25 each for the season. Private plot-holders share 50 percent of the produce from their garden which is combined with produce from the larger Roots Garden and donated to local food assistance programs.

Anyone can register a plot and all are welcome to volunteer their time to get the garden ready. Bring gloves, shovels and rakes.
