Jason Scarth, 35

| April 8, 2016 9:00 PM

Jason Alfred Kalani Scarth, 35, passed away March 31, 2016. After battling depression the pain became too unbearable and Jason took his life.

He leaves behind his parents, Al Scarth and Barbara Scarth; stepmother Susan Scarth; siblings Robyn Scarth and Ian Scarth; his two young sons, Jaxon (2) and Haven (1); and many more friends and relatives who tried to support him through difficult times.

Jason was born Aug. 25, 1980, in Coeur d’Alene. He grew up in Coeur d’Alene and graduated from Lake City High School before attending the University of Montana and then moving to Las Vegas, Nev. He was a cross country runner and golfer in high school. He loved the outdoors, hiking, golfing, cooking and laughing with friends. Jason was often the one who could bring laughter to a group with his wicked sense of humor. We all hope he can finally accept and welcome all the love and support he had from his friends and family that he couldn’t while he was in this world.

A memorial and celebration of life to honor his passing will be held from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday, April 10, 2016, at Morning Light Yoga Studio on Government Way in Coeur d’Alene.

In lieu of flowers, the family has set up a fund for Jason’s sons on GoFundMe called Support Jaxon and Haven Scarth. Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene, is in care of final arrangements and you may visit Jason’s online memorial and sign his guest book at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
