David Edward Noordam, 47
David Edward Noordam left us to be with our Heavenly Father on Sept. 1, 2015, with his loved ones by his side and his many friends lifting him up in prayer.
Dave was born on Aug. 1, 1968, in Silverton, Idaho, to Robert Noordam and Merry Phelps Noordam. He spent the first few years of his life in Mullan, Idaho, until moving to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, where he lived for the remainder of his life. He graduated from Coeur d’Alene High School in 1986. During his time there, he was a state placer in wrestling and a starter for the 1985 state championship winning football team.
After graduating high school, he immediately went to work for the family business and became the youngest real estate licensee in the state of Idaho. He continued to sell real estate throughout his working career and enjoyed helping his clients buy and sell properties for more than 29 years.
Dave married Brandy Wilson Noordam on May 27, 2000.
Most of Dave’s family and friends remember him for his kind heart and how he was always willing to help others. He was a loving husband, devoted father and caring friend. One of his favorite things was being a dad, and he was a father figure to many other children as well. His sense of humor was unmatched and he always strived to put a smile on the faces of the people he came in contact with daily.
Dave’s passions included hunting, fishing, watching Seahawks and Mariners games, four wheeling, huckleberry picking and going on road trips with his family. He was a regular attendee of Real Life Ministries in Post Falls, Idaho. He was loved by so many and will be truly missed.
Dave was preceded in death by his mother, Merry Noordam. He is survived by his wife, Brandy; father Robert; three daughters Cassidy, Layla and Tyra; stepson Montgomery Ferreira; brother Bill (Cheryl); sister Julie Groves (Stan); nephews Kelly, Tyler, Dakota, Jeremy, Josh and Noah; nieces Summer, Kayla and Paris; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Dave’s memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 12, 2015, at Real Life Ministries in building 1, with a potluck to follow. The family is requesting donations be sent to http://www.gofundme.com/noordamfamilyfund.
