ENGLISH: Deserves your vote

The Coeur d’Alene Press once called about the chairman of my Kootenai County Central Committee being arrested as a pedophile. Then got a call from Dan English, (then) county clerk, calling a special meeting of officeholders and candidates and English Financial (East Sherman) to hear facts and consider response.

Police taped Bob’s step-grandson asking Bob why Bob had oral sex with him. Bob said it was to make a man out of the boy (Uck!). Dan English insisted on Bob’s resignation, rather than let Bob serve out his remaining time as chairman as Bob wanted. Dan got the resignation he demanded.

It was not the politically smart thing to do, but it was a morally right action, an ethically right action, a statesman-like action.

Once again Dan English had shown he defends the people of Kootenai County and their children; whether as one of the founders and former director of Youth for Christ and Anchor House; whether maximizing our opportunity to vote in the elections as Clerk; whether as a former director of CASA or as present director of Habitat for Humanity.

I am asking for your vote for Dan English for our City Council because he is one of the most talented, qualified and caring persons in our community.
