Update: Missing Athol man found

The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in locating a missing man from the Athol area.

Michael J. Montgomery, 63 of Athol was last seen at his home on Thursday, November 19th at approximately 5:30 p.m. Mr. Montgomery left on his green with black trim, Polaris 400 ATV, possibly headed to the Bunco area on forest service roads. Mr. Montgomery was last seen wearing blue jeans, a camouflage jacket, and possibly wearing a knit stocking hat. Currently, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office Deputies, Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office Volunteer Search and Rescue members, and Spokane County Sheriff’s Office AIR1, are actively searching for Mr. Montgomery in the area of the Bunco Trailhead.

If anyone has seen Mr. Montgomery or his vehicle, they are asked to call the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office at (208) 446-1300 or their local law enforcement agency.
