PREP GIRLS BASKETBALL: Trojans romp past Bulldogs

| November 19, 2015 9:00 PM

POST FALLS — Bayley Brennan and Melody Kempton powered the Post Falls to a 72-46 nonleague rout of the Sandpoint Bulldogs in the Trojans season opener on Wednesday at The Arena at Post Falls.

Brennan finished with 17 points, five rebounds and four assists. Kempton had a double-double, scoring 14 points to go with her 12 rebounds. Bri Robinson added 11 points for Post Falls.

“In the first quarter, we had some easy baskets in transition,” Post Falls coach Marc Allert said. “They did a good job of taking that away and made us run our offense the rest of the way. We did a lot of good things but we’ve got to do other things better.”

Madi Schoening scored 30 points for Sandpoint (1-1).

Post Falls opens 5A Inland Empire League play at Lewiston on Dec. 1.
