Skate Plaza, owned by Candlelight Fellowship Church, will open today at noon with free admission for the rest of the day.
Pastor Paul Van Noy said visitors will still need to pay for skate rentals and any food they choose to purchase, but admission is free.
He said that with school canceled and some families still without power, Skate Plaza can offer a temporary, fun home-away-from-home.
Skate Plaza is located at 5685 N. Pioneer Drive in Coeur d'Alene, right next to Candlelight Fellowship.
