OFFICER: Thanks for great service

After a terrible experience recently, I was left with deep appreciation and gratitude to the Coeur d’Alene Police Department and Sgt. B. Walton.

My vehicle was broken into — window smashed — while parked at the City Link lot at Riverstone. The concern that Sgt. Walton displayed for my well-being is to be commended. He had me follow him to the police station where he vacuumed out the interior of my vehicle. Being a senior — 81 years young — I was able to safely drive my car home and park it in my garage.

Certainly it is disturbing that there is the element of “low-life” who does not have respect for the property of others.
