Susan Kay Thomson, 70

Susan Thomson passed away on Oct. 24, 2015. Susan will be greeted in Heaven by her husband, Daniel; her sister, Henri Ellen and her father, Henry (Sunnie) Hester.

Susan was born to Henry (Sunnie) Hester and Ellen M. Hester on Sept. 28, 1945, in Spokane, Wash. Susan enjoyed crocheting, gardening, reading, baking and most of all her family. Camping was one of Susan’s favorite pastimes.

Susan is survived by her mother, Ellen M. Schirr; her brother, Jerry and his wife, Cathy; three daughters, Brenda (Dave) Engan, Deborah (Jerry) Terou and Mary Slinger; two grandsons, Hunter and Daniel; one granddaughter, Danielle; and one great-grandchild. Also surviving Susan are many cousins, sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service for Susan at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 8, 2015, at Yates Funeral Home, Coeur d’Alene Chapel, 744. N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene. There will be a reception to follow.

Yates Funeral Home has been entrusted with the care of final arrangements.
