Nancy Ann Durrant (Booth), 66
Our Lord called her home from the Hospice House on Saturday, Oct. 31, 2015, after losing a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born to Maribelle Sue Booth (Gray) and Clarence Thomas Booth on Oct. 21, 1949, in Long Beach, Calif.
Nancy grew up in several states including California, New Mexico, Colorado and Arizona. Nancy had her first daughter, Toni (Jones/Garza) and went on to marry Celestino Torres Garza Jr., on Oct. 29, 1965, in Delta, Colo. Together the three of them settled in Phoenix, Ariz. Nancy and Tino Torres Garza Jr. were also blessed with four more children. The (twins) Arnold and Ernie Garza, Jennifer Garza and Celestino Torres Garza III.
Later in her journey through life she met and married Steve Dean Durrant on June 15, 1981. Nancy and Steve Durrant resided in Sandpoint and Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, for the past 35 years. Steve D. Durrant remained the love of her life and best friend.
Nancy had a special love for animals: four dogs and three cats. Memories of her feeding wild deer remind the family of her kind heart. The amount of lives Nancy impacted cannot be numbered. She was extremely proud of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She was an active part of all of their lives.
She was blessed to be survived by Toni Sue (Kevin) Nearpass, Arnold (Lori) Garza, Ernie (Tara) Garza, Jennifer (Gary) Hunsaker, Celestino Torres (Eden Joy) Garza III; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
She was described the night before her passing as “having an angelic look, with a beautiful glow on her face.” That is how she will be remembered. She is our beloved mother, friend, grandmother and great-grandmother, and we will all miss and love her dearly. May she rest in PEACE!!
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 7, 2015, and held by Pastor Tim Remington at Yates Funeral Home, 744 N. Fourth St., Coeur d’Alene.
