POWELL, Wyo. — Dajour Reece (165 pounds) and Alex Aguilar (157) captured individual titles, and North Idaho College had four individual placers total at the season-opening Northwest Open on Saturday.

Jordan Hill (149) finished second, and Damian Trujillo (285) took third.

“To come out with two champs, a runner-up and a third, that’s a good showing,” NIC coach Pat Whitcomb said.

On the downside, the Cardinals lost Jordan Lacelle (184) early in the tourney to a possible torn ACL. Lacelle is expected to have an MRI done this week, Whitcomb said.

NIC returns to action Nov. 14 at home vs. Montana State-Northern.
