ELECTION: Public safety remorse
We voted, low numbers represent the truth. On Tuesday we voted and we were among the 8 percent. We voted No, not for public safety but for the lack of it, something more money can’t fix. We have small children and never, ever do we get a cop when we call on speeders. This road right here in Cd’A they speed night and day. We call a cop and get the same crap: “We will monitor it.” Never do, and we have cameras to prove that.
Let us not forget the crimes committed across the U.S. by cops against unarmed civilians. When the cops here get four pay raises in one year and shoot a dog in a van it seems we have an oversight issue.
Once again, money does not cure what professionalism and trust does. The feeling we get is disgust that most of my neighbors have no trust in the same cops that don’t do their job.
