WENATCHEE, Wash. - Nolan Wirth smashed a walk-off grand slam to cap a five-run bottom of the seventh inning for the Apple Valley Packers of Wenatchee, handing the Coeur d'Alene Lumbermen and pitcher Dominic Conigliaro their first loss of the season, 6-5, on Friday night at Recreation Park in the Wenatchee Invitational.

"For the most part we did a good job," Coeur d'Alene coach Zach Clanton said. "We got there late (due to weather). It took 30 minutes to warm up. It was their first game of the tournament. At the end, we made a couple of errors to prolong the inning."

Stephen Vaudreuil went 2 for 4 with four RBIs for Coeur d'Alene (7-1).

Coeur d'Alene plays today against the Mudville Nine from Seattle at 10 a.m. At 5 p.m., they play against the Northwest Blaze.
