Nov. 27, 1932 - May 26, 2015

Kay's Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, May 31, at Jones & Jones Betts Memorial Chapel in Wenatchee, Wash. NO BLACK - DRESS HAPPY!

Kay was born Nov. 27, 1932, in Kellogg, Idaho - the only child of Jeannette "Jenny" and Darrell "Red" Veach. She lived in the Kellogg area the majority of her younger years. Summers found her in Billings, Mont., with her mother's sisters and brothers. While she was fond of all her aunts and uncles - Doris, Tommy, John, Eunice and Bud - it was Aunt Adah who held a special place in her heart, as it was Aunt Adah that gave her a sense of family.

Kay moved to Spokane, Wash., and attended Lewis and Clark High School. It was in Spokane that her education took a break as she met a handsome Air Force man by the name of Ray Hamblin. They were married on Aug. 5, 1950. In Oct. 1952 Kay boarded the ship "America" from New York and sailed across the ocean to join her husband in Southampton, England.

Their union did not last but was blessed with four daughters - Carol, Cathy, Connie and Carla. She shared with her children that "this was the life I was meant to live." After the girls were grown and on their own, Kay married Bill R. Frey. She often referred to him as her favorite husband.

Kay always enjoyed going to new places, meeting new people and trying different things. In her later years, she lived in Germany with her youngest daughter Carla and her family. It was during this time she traveled to Czechoslovakia and Italy. She traveled the length of the U.S. - driving from North Idaho to Tennessee not once but twice! One of her favorite trips was going to Hawaii with her daughter Connie and family.

Kay was preceded in death by her parents, Jenny and Red Veach; daughter Cathy and granddaughter Tiffany. She leaves behind to honor her memory her daughters Carol (Larry) Harvey, Connie (John) Divis and Carla (Shannon) Mulalley Merkle. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren - Michael, Steven, Brett, Tonya, Jana, Cassandra, Johnathan, Jasmine, Christopher, Joshua, Jay, Kaitlin and Zachary as well as great-grandson, Landon.

"Your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure ... You are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure."
