FOOD: Carriers thank donors

The Coeur d’Alene letter carriers want to express a very special thank you to the community for their generosity during our annual food drive on May 9.

All totaled we collected 20,185 pounds of food for the Community Action Partnership food bank. We exceeded our 2014 donation total by 11,000 pounds. We could not have done that without the support of our great citizens.

We also would like to give Randy McIntire of the Hayden Super 1 a big thank you for his donation of bags. The carriers were able to distribute these with the postcards. We know his generosity made a huge impact on this year’s donations.

This one day, nationwide food drive comes at a time when food banks are really struggling.

Thank you all, and we look forward to next years food drive.
