Riley Davis Shults, 22
Riley Shults, 22, of West Jordan, Utah, died suddenly on May 12, 2015.
Riley was born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, to David and Paulette Shults, and had very active early years with soccer, Lake City Community Church, Cub Scout Pack 228, Boy Scout Troop 3, Winton and Lakes schools, lacrosse, and alpine skiing.
Riley graduated from Lake City High School in 2011, and after a year of working in the area, moved to Utah for employment opportunities. There he met his wife, Paige Bateson Shults, and in 2013 began a family with Paige and baby girl, Brighton Bernadette. Riley loved his new family, and also enjoyed his passions for riding ATVs in the desert, developing his skills in auto mechanics, and owning and promoting diesel pickup trucks. He packed a lot of life's adventures, and ups and downs, into his very short life, and he did most everything with enthusiasm, confidence, and a very good heart.
Riley is survived by his wife and daughter, Paige and Brighton of South Jordan, Utah; father David Shults of Coeur d'Alene; mother Jamie (Paulette) Jackson and her husband James Jackson of Salt Lake City, Utah; brother Seth, of Missoula, Mont.; and many aunts, uncles, in-laws and friends who will all miss him greatly.
A memorial service was held May 16 in West Jordan, Utah, for his family and friends in that area. A memorial service will also be held at the family home in Coeur d'Alene at 3 p.m. on Sunday, May 24.
