McTEVIA: Family offers thanks

The family of Tom McTevia would like to thank all our friends and family, Tina Hoisington’s family; Orofino, Coeur d’Alene and Lewiston communities for the donations, gifts, flowers, condolences, phone calls and help during this most difficult time.

Thanks to Father Sipho Mathabela and Jeremy Gehring; Mayor Ryan Smathers, Tom’s lifelong friend, Jeff Wilson, Orofino Police Chief; Randy Reece and Craig Thompson, LAPD (Tom’s cousin), for their participation and arranging the wonderful service; to the Paralyzed Veterans of America, the Patriot Guard, Clearwater County officers, City of Orofino Police Department, Coeur d’Alene Police Department, and the U.S. Marine Corps from Lewiston; for the awesome tributes to our Tom. We thank all those who helped us with pictures and potluck, and to those who shared their stories of Tom with us all.

We also thank all of those who helped to rescue Daisy, Tom’s dachshund, that day: Ryan McTevia, Troy Thompson, Chris Bess, Rob and Jaylen Reed, and to Jon Bloxham, DVM of Prairie Animal Hospital, who gave her a clean bill of health after she spent six days alone on the cliff.

We will miss Tom always, but love never dies. We appreciate you all.
