John Richard Heffley, 79, of Post Falls, Idaho, passed away on May 12, 2015, in Post Falls.

John R. was born in Deer Park, Wash., to Floyd and Jenny Heffley on Aug. 26, 1935. He served two separate enlistments in the U.S. Navy. He enjoyed being in the woods as much as possible, restoring cars and spending time with family and friends.

John is survived by his wife, Glenda, of Post Falls; two sons, John (Monty) Heffley and Tracy (Lori) Heffley; sister Ann Geisler; six grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 18, at Bell Tower Funeral Home, 3398 E. Jenalan Ave., Post Falls, with Pastor Hohenstreet of Post Falls Baptist Church officiating.
