Donald L. Shriner, 68, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, died May 7, 2015.

Don was born May 5, 1947, in Coeur d'Alene to Rodney L. and Evelyn M. (Lacy) Shriner. He attended Coeur d'Alene High School, graduating in 1965. He then attended North Idaho Junior College and graduated from the University of Idaho in 1969.

Don taught high school history in both Mountain Home and Post Falls, Idaho.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Don is survived by three children: Veronica Stone of Coeur d'Alene, Marriann Tefft of Olympia, Wash., and Chuck Shriner of Post Falls; four grandchildren: John Paul, Sophia, Dominic, and Christian of Olympia, Wash.; and his sister, Darlene Shriner of Hayden, Idaho.

A private family Memorial Mass will be held at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Coeur d'Alene with Fr. Roger LaChance officiating.
