Dixie Lee Vucinich, 77

| May 15, 2015 9:00 PM

Dixie Lee Vucinich, 77, passed into eternity on May 11, 2015. She was born Dixie Lee Jacobs on May 4, 1938, to Clarence "Jiggs" and Gladys "Lee" (Frye) Jacobs in Marshalltown, Iowa.

Dixie moved to Coeur d'Alene in 1968. She worked for the Cedars Floating Restaurant for over 30 years, then went on to college and became a CNA where she worked as a caregiver at the Guardian Angels Home and the Four Seasons Home.

Dixie's greatest joy in life was her five children. Fortunately she spent her last day on earth with all of them and several grandchildren.

Dixie had a strong loving relationship with Jesus Christ and was ready to meet her Savior. She was known for her fun-loving spirit, her hard work ethic, and her zest for life. Dixie's hobbies included her family, her home, gardening, and her charity, the Union Gospel Mission.

Dixie was loved by her family, and will be greatly missed.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Jiggs and Lee Jacobs; and her brother, Butch. Dixie is survived by her daughter, Lauree Vucinich; son Dana (Julie) Vucinich; son Mark (Tina) Vucinich; son Jeff Vucinich; son Beau Vucinich (fiancee Tricia); 13 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A celebration of her life will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, May 18, at Yates Funeral Home - Hayden Chapel, 373 E. Hayden Ave., Hayden, Idaho, with a reception to follow.

Please visit Dixie's online memorial and sign her guestbook at www.yatesfuneralhomes.com.
