FOUNTAIN: Why she's best for Lakes

I am writing this letter in regard to the Lakes Highway District Commissioner position election coming up on May 19.

I enjoyed working with Diane Fountain at Lakes Highway District as she was always pleasant and knowledgeable and did an outstanding job as Secretary-Treasurer. I nicknamed her sunshine because she always had a smile on her face. Each morning when she walked through the door I would say “Well, good morning, Sunshine” it was a good start to both of our days! When she would take phone calls from people complimenting the excellent work the maintenance crew did on snowplowing or maintenance on the roads, she would put up a KUDO’S sheet in the break room to let them know they were appreciated.

I worked for Lakes Highway District for 19 years and retired a few years ago and I can say without a doubt that she will listen to the people in the district, be a good steward of taxpayer’s dollars, while still making sure the safety of our roads are maintained, and she will also be here year-round to attend meetings and to personally observe the conditions of our roads. Please join me in voting for Diane Fountain, Tuesday, May 19.
