GOLD: Theft hurts hard worker

I’m writing this letter about a theft that occurred Saturday, March 21, in Coeur d’Alene while my father was attending the Northwest Gold Prospectors Annual Gold Show.

He went inside to eat at Elmer’s Cafe and while inside someone broke into a maroon Dodge pickup and took several cases containing a large amount of gold. If you have seen or heard anything about this theft, I ask you to contact Coeur d’Alene police or you can write me personally at the address below.

On a more personal note, my father has worked very hard all his life for everything he has. You not only stole a large amount of money, you took what he enjoyed doing. He’s a good man who didn’t deserve to get robbed by some scumbag thieves.
