DBS announces statewide compliance initiative and personnel changes
The Idaho Division of Building Safety announced the appointment of Terry Blessing as Statewide Compliance Coordinator overseeing compliance and licensing for tradesmen and contractors.
Blessing, DBS Regional Manager in Coeur d'Alene, has accepted the challenge of carrying out the responsibilities of this statewide position, which will involve frequent contact with local jurisdictions and contractors as well as close coordination with DBS regional offices in Meridian, Coeur d'Alene and Pocatello.
"Terry's depth of experience in the commercial and public works arenas and his excellent personal relationship skills provide him the ideal combination of capabilities required by this vital position," said DBS Administrator C. Kelly Pearce. "Based on his past performance over many years with DBS, I know he will excel at this work."
Pearce also announced that the North Idaho regional manager position, vacated by Blessing's appointment as compliance coordinator, will be filled by Larry A. Jeffres of Sandpoint, most recently executive officer of the North Idaho Building Contractors Association.
"We are pleased Larry has agreed to join our management team in northern Idaho," said Pearce. "His history of work in marketing and as a business owner, combined with his years of experience working with contractors and others in the northern Idaho construction industry, will serve the citizens of Idaho extremely well."
In addition to his work with NIBCA, Jeffres has been a former owner, president and CEO of a data and voice communication and storage business and for 16 years was the owner and operator of a retail furniture store in Sandpoint.
