REED: Stood up for best causes

Saturday night my beloved friend, Scott Reed, a man I admired greatly, died. His health had been deteriorating over the last year or so, but he was always ready to give you time if you needed it.

Scott spent the last 12 years helping many of us in the rural community oppose developers who wanted to destroy our lands, waters and air, and was always willing to stand up for citizens protecting their lifestyles. His thousands of hours donated to important causes in our community are historic, and his impact is much more far reaching than most realize.

I personally will miss him tremendously, as there are few individuals I admired as much as Scott. May he rest in peace.
