Lois Lavandar Foreman, 91
Lois Lavandar Foreman Ninety one years of age passed on Wednesday April 22nd in her sleep a month after breaking her hip in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho.
Lois was born on the 8th of March 1924 in Fulda, Minnesota into the family of Peter and Clara Koopman. She was predeceased by her sisters Adeline Christenson, Irene Boslaugh and husbands Tyrell Roy Foreman and Harold Watson. She is survived by her children Daryl I. Foreman, Farrell L Foreman, Carol L and son in law Scott Stephens and their extended families including six grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and counting. She is also survived by her youngest sister Arla Mae Tammeus.
Lois spent much of her life engaged in the raising of her family and the Dry Cleaning and Laundry businesses of her late husband Tyrell Roy Foreman while living in Glendale, California and later in Paradise, California. After the death of Tyrell Roy Foreman in the spring 1969 she moved to Palo Alto, California to be closer to her sisters Adeline and Arla. There she worked for many years with Bank of America, from which employment she later retired in 1989. While living in Palo Alto she met Harold Watson and after a prolonged courtship they married in the summer of 1999 in Sacramento California. Soon thereafter they moved to Coeur d'Alene where she loved being close to her family and enjoying The natural beauty of Lake Coeur d'Alene. Living high above the lake and just across from the Coeur d'Alene Resort she loved the views from their balcony and watching all of the annual festivities of the enchanting downtown area.
Lois loved her family and we loved her very much. She liked boating to Catalina Island, dressing with a flair for style, the Lawrence Welk Show, the Grand Old Opry and all country music. In her later years she even enjoyed football, especially Pete Carol and the Seahawks and watching Tiger Woods and PGA Golf. Also of note, for a rather thin woman, she really cherished her ice cream especially with chocolate fudge on top,
For all who knew her, what will be missed the most is her laugh. She loved a good joke or to share a funny story and was always writing them down so she wouldn't forget. As young children she taught us to laugh so hard we cried. All we ask from her now is to send us her laugh, every now and then, from heaven....
