BIBLE: It has many uses
Sad! I’ve been reading some “Opinion, Readers Write” and I would like to point out some errors. These writers have no knowledge of the Bible based on their picks of some use of scriptures. I’m reading their guilt, the excuses and judging from these writers.
The Bible is the “Human Manual,” example: automobile has a manual. To fail to read either, the cost can be short lived or damages on your auto or your life!
Mr. Cripe, you are not a little rusty, you haven’t fully read the Bible or fact is you have not found the truth yet! In the New Testament if you’ll read it all several times over, you’ll note it says, a “new covenant” means “old covenant” is out. Leviticus listed laws and sins of the people, etc. in the times of Moses; the killing of sinners was supposed to show all people this is what will happen, today it’s called, “scare tactics.” People chose to disobey the laws, they pass new laws to sin. Example: Divorce — what did Jesus say? Read the scriptures. The hardness of your hearts caused man, “Moses” to pass a law, “divorce is permitted,” but is it to the Creator? NO! Another example; theft is a sin, today we have a new law, “Adverse Possession,” a neighbor can steal legally your land by filing “Quiet Title;” the law gives trespassing neighbors the land free because, the “hardness of your hearts,” a new law was made for the “sinners.” Homosexual is a “hardness of your hearts,” Judges will be judged! Today, we are passing “sinners’ laws.” It must stop!
Question. Are you people reading the Bible for the Truth or just using it to excuse your sins or the sins of relatives and friends?
