NORQUIST: Shed full light on him
As I understand it Mr. Grover Norquist is a current candidate for election to the National Rifle Association Board of Directors. Mr. Norquist, most famously known for his public stand against taxes, has another persona that is much more ominous; his seemingly unquestioned advocacy of various Muslim Brotherhood front organizations here in the United States.
Most recently, Glenn Beck brought up this issue on his radio show. While I consider Mr. Beck to be more than a bit off base on many matters, in this case he has hit the bull’s-eye.
I urge the conservative and politically active readers of this newspaper to disregard Mr. Beck’s comments and read the monograph, Agent of Influence: Grover Norquist & The Assault On The Right, published by the Center of Security Policy. It is available through Amazon ($5.00). In a very cogent, footnoted, and well researched booklet Mr. Frank Gaffney (a former deputy assistant secretary of defense in the Reagan administration) lays out a compelling case for Mr. Norquist’s knowledgeable involvement with front organizations dedicated to the goals of the Muslim Brotherhood here in the United States.
Contained in this monograph is a letter expressing concern over Mr. Norquist’s connections with the Muslim Brotherhood signed by the following individuals:
Hon. Michael B. Mukasey 81st former Attorney General of the United States
Hon. Allen B. West former representative US House of Representatives
Lt. Gen. William G. Boykin, US Army Ret. former Deputy Under Secretary of Defense for Intelligence
Andrew C. McCarthy former Chief Assistant US Attorney
John Guandolo former Special Agent, FBI
Hon. James Woolsey former Director Central Intelligence Agency
Adm. James A. Lyons US Navy Ret. former Commander-in-Chief, US Pacific Fleet
Hon. Joseph E. Schmitz former Inspector General, Department of Defense
Amb. Henry F. Cooper former Ambassador, Defense & Space Talks and former Director, Strategic Defense Initiative Organization
Clare Lopez former Career CIA Officer
As can be seen, all of the individuals listed above are seasoned and thoughtful former members of our government; many in positions in which they would have access to additional information along these lines.
Mr. Norquist has enjoyed the almost unquestioned protection and admiration from many on the right; it is now time to see him as he is.
