MIGRATION: Coincidence or not with states
According to recently published interactive interstate migration charts from 1900 to 2012… only 59 percent of Idaho born citizens still living actually lived in Idaho in 2012. Idaho hemorrhaged 41 percent of their native born.
And 75 percent of native born living Californians still lived in California in 2012, so 25 percent baled out of California.
But the real shocker: 1 in 8 Idahoans were California born in 2012 while 1 in 8 of ALL Americans still live in California. Coincidence? Maybe.
So California grows two or three times Idaho’s population every 10 years, making a few 10ths of a percent growth there becomes maybe 10 percent growth here.
What did Mark Twain say? “There are lies, damned lies and statistics.”
Then there’s talk radio and news networks. Even worse.
Maybe newspapers are the better choice if the truth is important anymore.
