ATTORNEY: Agree with Mr. Hawk

| March 18, 2015 9:00 PM

The “My Turn” column of March 11, by Mr. Kevin Hawk, was spot on, and I could not agree more with the opinions expressed by Mr. Hawk.

I expressed similar opinions, a couple of years ago, regarding the current Kootenai County prosecuting attorney and his unwillingness to prosecute in the case of the burglary/theft from my home.

And I received a response from the prosecutor similar to what Mr. Hawk anticipated that he will receive. I look forward, with anticipation, to seeing that response.

Since then, I have noticed that in many instances, when the prosecutor is referred to by name in your paper, his photo is also shown.

This is often enough that I am given to wonder if The Press is trying to help further the prosecutor’s political career by keeping his name and his face in front of the voting public.

Has The Press considered an “Investigative/Police Reporter,” along the lines of what Mr. Hawk described? If not, I would strongly suggest that you do.

Thank you,

LARRY TANZER
