HINDU: Just heed God's word

| March 13, 2015 9:00 PM

Regarding recent articles in The Press about Hindu prayers.

Bypassing most of the criticism that could be made in this case, I will offer one main criticism, then switch to the positive side and emphasize the Biblical answer. Here is the single criticism: The fault in this case lies with the person or persons who invited Mr. Zed to offer the invocation.

Now to the positive side: In the Bible, God is emphatic about His godhead. Read it, God is speaking through Isaiah His prophet. And here is why you should believe it: The Bible contains infallible evidence that it is God’s Word indeed. And one of the proofs that it is God’s Word is fulfilled prophecy. Listen: Over half of the prophecies in Scripture have been fulfilled in detail, and the rest is still future. Only God knows the future and He is the author of the Bible.

In Isaiah 43:10 He says: “ … before Me there was no God formed, neither shall there be after Me.” Isaiah 44:6 “I am the first, and I am the last; and beside Me, there is no God.” Isaiah 44:24 “I am the LORD that maketh all things; that stretcheth forth the heavens alone … “ Isaiah 45:5 “I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is none beside Me.”

All other religions have their gods, but there is only one God. And this God not only created the universe, but He is the only God that has made any provision for saving rebellious people; the sacrifice of His Son. And He chooses His people; so be careful how you treat Him.
