Jean Gallagher Demetrek, 74

Jean G. Demetrek, 74, of Coeur d'Alene, Idaho, died March 7, 2015.

Jean was born May 1, 1940, in Keene, New Hampshire. She spent most of her life in Sonoma, California, and the last 25 years in Coeur d'Alene.

Jean was the keeper of cats, the savior of all critters, the light to those in the dark, the cabin dweller, the friend, the taskmaster, the nurse, the gardener, the decorator. She was so many things to so many people. She enriched our lives.

We want to celebrate Jean's incredible life, and plan to hold a Celebration of Life at a later date when the flowers are blooming.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the Kootenai Humane Society, or any animal rescue of your choice.
