ISIL: Contrast good and evil

The other day as I was watching the world news I was struck by the stark contrast between black hooded faces of ISIL and the warm and compassionate smile of Kayla Mueller. What a picture of the contrast between American values and the values of radical Islam.

In the chaos of what was once Syria, radical Islam sent black hooded killers to pray upon the desperate and needy people. American values produce people like young Kayla Mueller who’s only motive was to help people who were in desperate need of help. That these black hearted radicals would kill someone like Kayla shows how bankrupt their ideology is.

These Islamic radicals know their deeds are shameful, that is why they hide their faces. Kayla confronted these brutal killers with nothing more than a smile and a helping hand. The bravery and compassion of Kayla represents the best of what America has to offer. We should remember Kayla as a true American hero.
