John Fernandez Mendonca Jr. (12/4/12 to 6/25/15), 89 years old, born and raised in Hawaii. Born to John and Annie Mendonca, one of seven children, is survived by one Brother and two Sisters. Married Bernice Rita Neves in 1949 and then moved to California in 1957 where they raised their family. Moved to Post Falls, ID in 1988 where Bernice died 3 years later. Some years lager he married Patricia Otta who passed away in 2012.
John was a World War II vet who belonged to the Elks Club, American Legion, and Veterans of Foreign Wars. A warm and loving man, he always had a joke to tell and loved teasing friends and family. He loved Potato Bars, Pizza & Beer, and Hawaiian food. His dream was to one day return to Hawaii.
He leaves behind four Children, 12 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren, 4 Great-Great Grandchildren, and a multitude of Family and Friends who will his warm smile and quick come-backs with all our hearts.
No formal services are being held as the Family plans to have a celebration of life at a later date.
