THANKS: Police go above, beyond

I work downtown Coeur d’Alene and park my vehicle up on Wallace to avoid paying for parking or moving my truck every two hours. On Friday I got a call from the Coeur d’Alene Police Department asking me to move my truck because I was on the parade route for Car d’Lane. When I parked for work in the morning there were no signs out and I didn’t realize Wallace was on the parade route.
I would like to send out a big thank you for the call and the opportunity to move my truck. They didn’t have to call me — they could have just towed my truck away. That is a prime example of kindness that makes Coeur d’Alene the special place that it is.
