WOLF: Guilty - so live with it

I can’t believe Mize and his attorney, Palmer, are upset about the illegal shooting of a wolf. You are guilty — you shot it — you did not have a tag to do so — what’s to be upset about?

So you didn’t testify in front of the jury. That is yours and your attorney’s decision — not the judge, the jury or the system. I guess if you’re cited for 90 mph but you say you’re only going 80, you’re not guilty.

I don’t like wolves either, but you broke the law and the jury agreed. Don’t blame them or the system — you pulled the trigger. You were given a chance to settle out of court and declined. You knew you were guilty when you did — thought you could cover it up and then expected the jury to cover it up again.

Sorry. You had your day in court. Accept it.
