Lila Linker, 89

Lila Linker, 89, passed away on June 10, 2015, in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho. She was born on Nov. 7, 1925, in Salem, Ore., to Lyle and Amy Smith.

Lila grew up in Salem, graduating from Tigard High School in Tigard, Ore., in 1943.

Lila married Harold Linker in 1944 in Kittitas, Wash., and they were happily married for 63 years until his death in 2002. Lila was a member of VFW Auxiliary, Eagles Auxiliary, and Rambling Rovers. She enjoyed bingo, reading, fishing, cards and traveling.

Lila was preceded in death by her husband, Harold, and daughter Amy Gillespie. She is survived by her other four daughters: Irene Ihly of Coeur d'Alene, Nancy Larkin of Coeur d'Alene, Vera Gerhardt of Sierra Vista, Ariz., and Mary Finkbeiner of Odessa, Wash.; nine grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; and her nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Lila will be joining her husband and parents at Crescent Grove Cemetery in Tigard, Ore.
