FLOWERS: Theft is unconscionable

| June 17, 2015 9:00 PM

Dear Jeanne,

We know how much flowers have meant to you, planting, tending, watering and sharing them with others. As we have done before, we filled the large planter with flowers and took it to the cemetery to celebrate your birthday and to enjoy throughout the summer. Last Friday, someone must have admired the planter — and have taken it to be their own. We are very sad that this has happened and can only hope that whoever has it will take care, tend and water it.

Your family,

Brice, Barb, Dale

We are not the only folks who have lost baskets and planters at our local cemeteries. I am aware of several. The dedicated people who work on the grounds are also saddened, as they take pride in their work to keep the cemeteries beautiful for all of us to visit and remember those who are no longer with us.
