VETERANS: Plate fee is 'excessive'

I was very surprised that no one commented on Alan Frederick’s letter regarding veterans’ special license plates. I, too, recently sent for veterans plates. I wasn’t surprised when there was a $25 charge for the first year for a special plate, but the $15 yearly fee seems excessive.

Everyone says “Thank you for your service,” except, it seems, the state of Idaho.

I think this is totally wrong. We have served our country. Do away with the $15. It isn’t about the money — it’s about what is right!
