| June 12, 2015 9:00 PM

The Cedars Floating Restaurant in Coeur d'Alene has completed construction of a new all-weather floating deck.

Now open and available for dining, the deck has enclosure options and heating that allow for outdoor dining rain or shine. This means guests can enjoy dining lakeside on the deck year-round.

"We are very thrilled about our new deck," said Cedars manager Lynette Baskins. "It's the perfect place for celebrations of all kinds such as reunions, office parties, retirements, Christmas parties and receptions."

The new floating deck can be reserved for lunch or dinner groups.

"The reaction we are getting from guests is fantastic," Baskins said.

During the months of July and August there will be a special Happy Hour on the new deck daily starting at 3 p.m.

In addition to the new all-weather floating deck, the restaurant's popular salad bar has been expanded. "We are excited to present our new 20-foot salad bar with 40 different fresh ingredients to compliment the Cedars dining experience," said chef Jim Barrett.

The Cedars Floating Restaurant has also given its parking area a facelift with new asphalt and improvements that have doubled the number of parking spots available.

The Cedars Floating Restaurant, 1514 N. Marina Drive, is open for dinner nightly starting at 4 p.m. Guests can enjoy fresh Northwest cuisine (including a gluten-free menu), a large wine selection and a full bar. Private lunches are available for groups with advance reservations. For reservations or other dining inquiries call (208) 664-2922.
