Douglas Scot Pinyerd, 58
Douglas Scot Pinyerd was born on Aug. 18, 1956, and passed away on May 18, 2015.
Douglas was born to Al and Joan Pinyerd (Mayo) in Los Angeles, Calif. He was a loving older brother to Laura, Jerry and Glenna. In his youth, Doug enjoyed playing baseball and riding his dirt bike in the desert. Later he became immersed in the world of exercise and competed in many triathlons.
In 1985, Doug married his soulmate, Janet Pico. In 1994 they moved to North Idaho, and their only daughter, Casey, was born shortly after on May 31.
Throughout his lifetime Doug was a loyal, dedicated, hard worker and mentor for many. His most rewarding jobs were in sales, and supervising at Bally's Holiday Spa for 15 years. He later excelled in car sales for 10 years in Idaho. Afterwards he became an expert in landscape and evolved into working for Viking Construction.
Doug attended North Country Chapel. He adored listening to music, watching movies, and perfecting his yard. He also was a logophile and lover of nature.
Doug Pinyerd unexpectedly passed away from an aneurysm. Although he will be missed immensely by his family, friends, and cats, he was happy to go home with his Lord and Savior. After his passing he was able to help others live and learn with his organ donations.
The celebration of his life will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 14, at his home, and a California celebration will be at a later date. Contact Janet and Casey Pinyerd for further details.
