Judy Jo Robinson Miller, 67
Judy Jo (Robinson) Miller, treasured mother, wife, sister, aunt, grandmother and friend, passed away on May 30, 2015, after a brief illness. An incredible woman, beautiful both inside and out, Judy will be remembered for her compassion, her humor and her generous spirit.
Judy was born Dec. 9, 1947, in St. Maries, Idaho, to Leonard B. "Skip" and Polly (Brown) Robinson. She was raised in St. Maries where she attended school, excelling in the performing arts, including theater and vocal performance. After graduating from St. Maries High School in 1966, Judy attended Lewis-Clark State College to study under her mentor and music professor, Stuart E. Churchill. Judy performed in several theater performances while in college, including many lead performances. After leaving college, Judy moved to Portland, Ore., where she modeled for The Broadway clothing stores and developed a wonderful group of friends during this time.
On Feb. 14, 1979, Judy married Robert "Bob" Miller. They welcomed a daughter, Britney Ann, on July 10, 1981. Judy devoted her time to others - volunteering for her daughter's school activities and supporting local charities including The Rosemont School for Girls along with many hours of volunteer work with senior citizens.
Judy hosted many gatherings at her beautiful homes, both in Portland and her summer home on the St. Joe River, creating special memories that are treasured by her extended family and friends. Judy had an incredible ability to make others feel so special - her caring and compassion will be forever unmatched.
Judy and Britney were inseparable and had an extremely close bond. Judy was thrilled when Britney and her husband welcomed their son, Mack, who instantly became Judy's constant companion.
Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Skip and Polly Robinson; brother Ron Robinson; father-in-law Joseph Miller; mother-in-law Kitty Miller and sister-in-law Jo Clayree Miller.
