CLIMATE: Denying the change deniers
First of all, congratulations on the cartoon about the climate deniers and the sea level rising that was in the paper the other day.
I think it’s time for the climate change deniers to take their heads out of the sand, or wherever they have them, and face the facts. Ninety-seven percent of the scientists have agreed that there is human caused climate change. These scientists deal with the facts unlike some of the idiots on FOX news.
Just look around. Droughts in the West, not only in California but in places like North Idaho and even Washington; floods and tornados way worse than ever in the Midwest (I think it’s ironic that Texas, which probably has the greatest number of deniers in the United States, has been hit the hardest; maybe it’s karma).
The oceans and seas are warming faster every year and getting oilier. Another oil pipeline breaks and destroys miles of coastline and kills hundreds of sea life and birds, not to mention the danger to humans. Now the oil companies want to destroy the Arctic.
All the money and jobs in the world mean nothing if we can’t breathe the air, or there is not water to drink or grow food or the water is undrinkable.
This world is addicted to oil and like all addicts the first thing they do is deny it. Like most addictions affecting us, we are all going to suffer and in the long run probably die from it. As to Senator Crapo, leave the EPA alone, calm down, have a glass of wine but don’t drive after you drink it.
