Red Hot Mamas dancing in Seattle streets

| July 25, 2015 9:00 PM

The Red Hot Mamas are off to Seattle to perform today at the city's Seafair Festival.

The Mamas collaborated with producers of the Alaska Airlines Seafair Torchlight Parade and KIRO TV to put together a pre-parade crowd warmup.

"The warmup performance is by request and design of the producers as they feel the Mamas bring a spirit of joy and merriment down the street and will serve as a great kick-off to the parade," stated the group's announcement of their Seafair performance.

The Mamas will be transported by the Emerald City Trolley to present eight mini-shows on the parade route just ahead of the actual parade. A four-minute uninterrupted performance will be televised live on KIRO TV channel 7 between 7:30 and 7:45 p.m.

The Mamas will dance to a medley of tunes including, "Old Time Rock and Roll," "We've Got the Beat," "Do You Love Me" and "Dancing in the Streets."

"The girls are raring to go bring the party down the streets of Seattle," said RHM director Mikki Stevens.
