PREP WRESTLING: Post Falls leads after first day at North Idaho Rumble

COEUR d'ALENE - Post Falls advanced 14 to today's semifinals and is in the team lead after the first day of the North Idaho Rumble at Coeur d'Alene High.

Alessio Lemmon (98 pounds), Jordan Grimm (98), Matt McLeod (106), Braydon Huber (113), Drake Foster (126), David Booth (126), Jason Burchell (132), Lucas Bolster (138), Alius De La Rosa (138), Steven Zettel (145), Seth McLeod (182), Brad Noesen (195), Elijah Bennett (220) and Justin Farnsworth (285) advanced to the semifinals for Post Falls.

Second-place Coeur d'Alene advanced Kaleb Maciosek (106), Drew Gorringe (145), Colton Johnson (160), Anthony Reimer (170), Jake Lunceford (285) and Nate Jensen (285) to the semis.

Third-place Lakeland advanced William Edelblute (98), Tavis Woempner (106), Bryan Edelblute (113), Larry Johnson (113), Jared Walker (170), Killian Estes (195) and Conor Shepherd (220) to the semis.

Lake City, which is fourth with 54 points, will send Kieron Ove (98), Mike Kelley (106), Nathan Lambert (132), Michael Carr (145), Killian Konda (152), Corey Cook (170) and Zion Dixon (285) to today's semifinal round.

"Those seven kids wrestled really well tonight," Lake City coach Corey Owen said. "We were in control of the match pace, and the tempo."

Other locals in the semifinals include Dailyn Johnson (126) of Timberlake, Blake Ivie (138) of Kellogg, Tyler Badertscher (152) of Timberlake and Nathan Masterson (182) of St. Maries.
